I just got this putty from the hobby shop. I'm building the rear interior for the RX-7 subs and amp. The putty I got is from Testors. Has anybody used this putty before? Pics of the interior and subs would also be helpful. I have the subs, amp, and equalizer. This is the only pic I have.

is it contour putty in a greyish tube? if so, i've worked with it before and personally i hated working with it. it only cost me like a buck but it can cause so much more damage to the model by mucking up the surface. it doesnt sand very well. i would pick up some better stuff. Model masters putty is better IMO. Ironically its also made by testors but it does work better and is easier to sand smooth.
thats pretty sick that you're making all the audio equipment in your model. sorry i have no pics of it tho.

I've used it before, and for one thing its a hassle to squeeze it out of the metal tube thing. It isn't mixed very well so sometimes water comes out before putty.
It just sucks, you're better off with some more expensive, but better putty.

Squadron putty is a lot better, it stays solid in the tube!
And I agree it can screw up your model really fast, being that one of the main ingredients in putty is toulene, the stuff that's in modeling glue that will melt plastic!!

I have found that perfesional automotive body putty is the best.
Don't use the cheap o stuff from walmart or autozone
Only use Evercoat products. You will have to purchase it from a body shop.
I am using 100420 Easy Sand and dont forget the catalyst.
