l felt so good today!

well, today l forgot my parking pass and l had to park my car at the hotel loading dock, where every employes take their brake times there..

and l got many nice comments about my car.. well l hated my car but l started to love her again:) ( l included a few pics at the bottom)

F&B manager: that is a nice ride, which year is it?
me: 97
F&B manager: 97? damn!!
me: yeah,
F&B manager: l dont know much about cars and l thought it was a newer model car.. you did a good job


shipping & recieving employee: wow! this a very clean ride.. is that camaro?
me: no firebird but camaro and firebirds are brothers.
him: how is the engine condition, miles?
me: 133k miles and l can trip all around the usa and l dont think it would break down.
him: 133k?? man this car looks like it s got a few miles.. crank that and lets hear how she sounds.

him: holy shit.. man how many HP. you got? this things sounds badass.. open the hood, l wanna see..
(l opened)
him: man, this engine is big.. and sounds like it is in good condition.. man this one nice looking badass ride..

front office supervisor: erdal, is that your car?
me: yeah,
her: it is a beatiful car.. wow, l definetely wanna go on a ride with you..
me: no problem
her: which year is it? and what is it?
me: just guess which year is it?
her: 2003? 2002?
me: well she is kinda older, 97 and it s got 133k miles on. and also it is a firebird formula / trans am
her: wow, it doesnt look like that old at all also your paint is so shiny.. is the paint new?
me: it is stock paint
her: beatiful.

neighbour: (she is walking around the neighbourhood with her new discusting dog) hey, how are you? your car looks beatiful
me: thanks, l am trying to keep her clean.
neighbour: well, you are doing a good job. what do you use to clean this car?
me: just tried eagle one
neighbour: l wonder if mine would shine like that too.. mine is 2003.. which year is yours?
me: it is 97
neighbour: this car looks like just came out of dealer (she hasnt seen my car closer :) )
me: thanks..
neighbour: (kinda joking face but inside DAMN SERIOUS)) l think you should practise on my car too and see how mine look like.
me: no problem, if you need me,l am around.

well there are some others too but l dont wanna write a book here.. l know my car is not an excellent car.. when you look closer, my paint is shiny but all over the car has minor scratches. just when you look from enough distance, it looks like brand new..

i personally dont like formulas looks but your car does look pretty bad ass i think its the only formula i would drive...all the ones i see are trashed out and sound horrible...

Erdal your car is freakin gorgeous. I wish I could get mine to shine like that. Especially when you compare your sig's picture to those pictures... You need to come down to Jacksonville, FL and help me wax mine. I couldnt get her to shine like that if I tried.

blindxeyed: man if we would be close to each other, that would be no problem.. l would make that girl look beatiful. and actually it depens on paint too.. my paint is metalic green and it shines good.. it showes the shine. thansk for the nice comments..

Looks great man, I love the look of base Firebird/Formula but the Trans Am does look a little more aggressive. I should have some pics up of my car as well within a few days. I literally just walked in from painting a few body panels. So she will have a partly new fresh coat of her and the ram air cowl hood finally.

well yesterday i just ordered the last 1400$ in parts for the new engine...i should have some time this weekend or the next to get everything back on then i just got to drop it back in and hope for the best...but as i knew when i bought it its a 1979 and it could use things here and there for instance right after i get the engine back in i need to check out whats going on in the rear end...it wines really loud when your going over 35 think it has something to do with the posi but i dont think it should wine as loud as it is so then after i figure out whats wrong with that and fix it i need to move onto the a/c it doesnt work anymore probally an easy fix but i havent checked it out yet...then i need to fix the leak in the trunk when it rains i get a puddle stuck where the brackets for the trunk mount...then i need to get a headligner fix the tiny crack on the dash..and last but not least sand her down prob have to bondo a couple of tiny dents and paint her midnight black (or whatever that black is called) again...then i can have some fun and go to those famouse bbq's mr.lous is always talking about...so lease to say i still have a lot of work but i like it keeps me out of trouble just hope i can get it all done before next summer...because this year im a senoir next year i move back to south carolina and then off to college
