1991 Civic 4 Door Sedan with 182,000 miles.
I pulled the spark plug wires off the spark plugs which are deep into the engine. The wires were covered in oil. Is this normal, or do I have a major problem?
Thanks,
Greg

Replace your spark plug gaskets/grommets.

I went to my local auto parts store today and purchased the valve gasket cover kit which included the spark plug gaskets & grommets and replaced them all. Thank you.

even with new grommets they tend to leak.

not if you clean off both surfaces with brake cleaner, and use genuine OEM honda gaskets, then torque the valve cover down in proper sequence. non OEM gaskets will work too, just they usually don't last as long.
half ass job = half ass results
