I have a 1999 stang that has recently been making a rattling noise from the front passenger side of the car. It makes a little rattling noise down by the tire/engine when the car gets near the 800-1000 rpm range. Can anyone help me out and give suggestions as to what is wrong...thank you.

Does it sound more like motor or suspension?

Do you have to be moving? or is it just related to engine speed?

I think it is pretty obvious this post having a poll is just absolutely needed

Rattles and noises are the hardest things to figure out when you can't hear them.
Now when did this start happening? Have you changed anything on the car? Have you hit anything recently? What were you doing when you first started hearing this noise? Any other info you can give us would help greatly in determining the source of the problem.

next time---when you start the car. Let it idle for about a 5 minutes. Then rev it a few times. If you hear a rattle. Thats most definetely your engine knocking-------and bro------thats also the sound of having to get a new engine. I'm all too familiar with that sound. You can also check that rattle after drive for a while. Just pull over----sit in idle and a few pushes of the pedal and listen. Any suspension problems just won't rattle like that when sitting in idle. And I'd cast serious doubt that a header isn't properly installed-------because those things come fully bolted from the factory. And if the exhaust is loose-----it will rattle every time---right from the get go---when you give it gas! Good luck dude-------but it sure sounds like engine knock.
