94 s10 will not start

i have a 1994 s10 v6. i seem to have a fuel problem, truck will crank with starting fluid, but dies out once this is gone. can anyone tell me the location of the fuel filter, and fuel pump.

The fuel filter is mounted along the left frame rail, under the cab. The fuel pump is mounted in the top of hte fuel tank.

There is also a fuel pump relay somewhere under the dash to the right of the steering column. You may want to be sure that's working before you go at the fuel pump. :wink:

Welcome on your first post on AF.

First thing is to check for fuel pump running.
Can you hear it? If not find out why.
If so check fuel pressure for up to par.
Also check all fuses.
If you have good fuel pressure check for injector pulse.
Is it a Z or W engine or MPI ot TBI injection PCM or VCM computer?
