Whew, that was a close one. I thought you where going to say getting with a really hot chick only to find out you have to push her balls to the side.
Back to the subject at hand. Any time you put any kind of work into a car you will never get back what you put into it. Hell thanks to modding a car out you would be lucky to get anywhere near blue book for it. About the only time you can make money in resale on a car thanks to mods is if you can hook up an unboosted car with a stable form of boost. When I say stable I mean something that is going to have a bit of reliability not duct tapping a leaf blower up and calling it boosted.

Im a Global Moderator, which means I can bust ass in whatever forum I wish.
And, if you will look at the bottom of the Cavalier forum list, you will see I am assigned to this section, as well as Cobalt, and Sketching and Drawing.
By the way, for future reference, I don't take well to the "bite me" route, so I would advise against it :)

When someone takes a 10+ year old car thats no collector item, and is and has been rapidly depreciating, adding expensive stuff to it will only make so much of a difference, when in fact the car thats underneath it all is not in demand.A V8 Vega? Interesting, but still a Vega afterall. If someone was buying purely a dragracer, fine, but as a collectible or classic I dont think so.
A 6-71 blown 1966 GTO? Sure, someone would be blamed for ruining a legend, but the value will always be there no matter what someone has done to it.The next guy could un-do the mods to bring it back to the historical car that it was,and is.
The only "historical" Cavalier? Probably the Cadillac Cimmaron. It was a blatant display of GMs bean counter ways, and their attempt to snow the public into thinking it was a BMW fighter.Examples of those abortions will one day be set aside along with Corvairs,Monzas and Chevettes when all but a handful have passed on to the great GM junkyard of legendary bombs.

In a nutshell.....
If you expect your car to be worth something after all the trinkets have been added....START with something worth money in the first place.
Tack goodies on an also-ran (Cavalier,Escort,Pinto,Achieva,Lumina, etc) and you will never get out of it much more than it was worth before.

IN a nutshell, when you go to sell one of these... you part them out. Save your stock parts.. make some of your money back. The KBB on my car right now is 3,900..
Take that and all the mods i have done or awaiting install, street value is $10K.. I know i'll never see that again, but hey i don't care either, money isn't something that will be with us forever.

yeah my kbb is about 400................
with the rims on it i can get offers for 600...
see most of the stock parts i replaced.. were because they were no longer functioning correctly....
bent rims, busted stereo, little sh*t like that... i don't think any of the other parts carry much value (i.e. engine that gets hot and has 145k miles on it)

Because Cavalier owner's are stupid and don't realize you can get the exact same things used for half that price, or free if you know where to look.

Take care of the vehicle, and you won't run into these kinds of issues. Besides, the stuff you listed is only like 3 things, its just all listed out.
