is a 400cid bored .30 over a 461cid?

um.. i dont know..but it does depend on the stroke of the motor, im sure..hehe.

I dont think it would be that much...a 350 bored that much is only a 355, so the 400 would probably be somewhere around there, bit higher. 461 is probably a bored 455 olds or something, though Im not sure.

yea thats what i thaught to but a friend of mine is trying to tell me otherwise but im sure its not that big at all without a big stroke...but i cant find any facts to back me up..

What is the bore and stroke of said 400??
I know it isn't exactly 4" and 4".


Although a 400 .030" over should be roughly a 406.
Are you saying .300" over??? That would be a 464.7. But I doubt the block will take it.

Most of the time when you hear someone say '30 over' it means .030".
