I want to lower my car about 2 inches... what all do I have to buy and how difficult is it for someone with a decent understanding of cars to do? Thanks

Check out the prices of lowering springs. They can be a little expensive depending on the quality. Eibach is the top company when it comes to springs i believe. Search on google for good deals or ebay possibly? I helped my friend installing the front and the rear. The rear was very easy but the front was very tough. Altogether it took us about 4 to 5 hours becuz it was r first time. The front need additional work and the spring can not be compressed without a compressing tool unless you want to kill yourself. For my friends car, we took the new spring and the strut to the mechanic, he compressed both for $20. Im sure others would help you too.. goodluck

Took me about 2 hours to install my springs.
Air tools would have made it an hour.

2 inches??? Do you want to be able to drive it?

Eibach ProKit.
Roughly....
Front-1.5 inch
Rear-1.3 inch

Other sites have said it is a 1.2" drop.

So all I need to buy is lowering springs? I thought for some reason if you just bought the springs then you would get kind of a pogo effect if you didnt also replace the struts... unless that was just on my old car...

It isn't that bad.
Although the stock struts will only last about 5,000 miles under the added pressure.

I would recommend LCA relocation brackets and a adjustable panhard bar as well.

are those other parts necessary? will anything bad happen if i just get the springs?

All I got was just the springs. Running stock shocks/struts.
I do have the other suspension pieces though.

Your rear won't be centered properly without an adjustable panhard bar. LCA's help keep the rear from rolling under load. The relocation brackets assist in keeping them in the correct position on a dropped car.

will like a shocks and struts place have the relocation brackets and or panhard bar and will they be able to put them on?

Your best bet for those items is the internet.
