AIT Sensor...

Damn... I put on a CAI and my AIT fucked up... Idk what caused it... but it sets off my CEL and I can't get an inspection in this state with that on... so I know where the sensor is located... but where can I buy another... Advance doesn't have them listed for a '97 Eclipse RS... I know it's the 420a (neon motor)... and they have an AIT for the Neon listed... so I just wanna make sure I can buy that and it will work... if not, hit me up with the right part....
Also... the mechanic who worked on the car before I got it broke the clip for the sensor... it still sits on the IAT connector... but it doesn't clip and I'm afraid it will come out...and idea if I can buy another clip...
Also, I have an idea, to relocate the IAT into the intake tract...(it'll read cooler temps and give a lil' more gas, better hp)... is there an extension harness for such mods? or will I have to do all the wiring myself??

I might have a used sensor laying around I can send to you so see if that's your problem. My problem would be finding it though in my mound of parts. I have no idea about the mod you're talking about and you'd probably have to make the harness yourself. Try checking 2gnt.com, they might have something about it.

Ah... I know the sensor's the problem... the element inthe end is just hanging... and the code is for High current AIT sensor...
The mod is a simple 1-3hp gain for a car... moving the AIT from the hot intake manifold to the intake tract, makes the AIT read a cooler temp, thereby giving the car more gas, and a little hp gain. I've also heard it prolongs the life of the sensor...
