My 1994 Mazda 626 recently required a new alternator. Two months later the regulator that is built in to the Autolite alternator burned out and boiled the battery over. I replaced the alternator/regulator but now the motor dies and will not start for about a minute if I run the motor fast(over 4,000 RPM) for longer than 2 to 4 seconds. The motor and car feels fine before it dies and drives well if not pushed. The check engine light does not go on and there is no sign of anything wrong until the motor dies and even if I'm going 50 miles per hour, the car will not restart until I shut it off and rest for a few seconds.
