SEAT is a Spanish brand.

The older models are lemons, with a Yugo-like reputation, but they had some nice older models too, like the Ibiza GTi with Porsche engineering/tweeking.

They are now owned by the VAG, they are very reliable cars and thier current line-up is the Arosa (aka VW Lupo), Ibiza (that'll be a VW Polo), the Cordoba which is the saloon version of the Ibiza and is Polo G40 based, but will soon be replaced by a new model, then we have the Toledo- nothing different from a Golf/A3/Octavia/TT/Beetle it looks quite a lot like the Mk 4 Jetta/Bora, then the Leon is the hatchback version of the Toledo. Finally we have the Alhambra a mini-van built in Portugal (as opposed to Spain) and shares everything with the VW Sharan and Ford Galaxy.

These cars have racing versions and road versions. If you watch any of that rally racing, you should reconize the name.

I would say more like a Fiat reputation, Yugo is going too far.
