Coolingmist H20 install... Pump failure..

I was installing my water injection system yesterday. Ran the power wire to a illuminated breaker switch on the dash to manually turn the pump on. Ran/mounted an LED to the boost sensor to tell when the injector is firring. Took the win/washer tank out from underneath the spare tire, taped a water feed on the bottom. Got about half way done with ziptieing the relay and boost sensor into location on the firewall for installation. waited to run the water lines because we couldn't decide where to mount the pump. I wanted the pump at the same elevation, or even a little lower then the water container for positive pressure. A Friend wanted it in the small cubby hole in the rear/passenger side area above the water source just incase there was a leak...

So we got a coffee can full of water and tested it outside the car with the pump above & below the water container. This (http://www.hdesk.org/swift/leakypump2.mpg) is what we discovered. It's on it's way back to Georgia right now. Fucking gay. I had a fucking DSM/SRT-4/EVO showdown at the local track I helped put together on the 16th. I'm really pissed. At least I got my PLX-M300 wired in to dsmlink and the box mounted into the where the fresh/recirculate lever was. I just cut part of the HVAC system out. That and my 255hp in. Sigh..

All I have left is the 3.3bar (30min job) and my 92 sonata timing belt kit that will be done Thursday.

UPDATE

I got my replacement pump from Coolingmist along with a 1 gallon water tank & float w/LED today at 10:30am via FedEx. I spend 8 hours running all the wires, soldering in the relay, tapping the UICP with the 4.0GPH jet, wired in an illuminated in-line switch from the ignition so I can turn the pump on and off at whim along with two LED's. The first LED is for knowing when the jet is fireing, the 2nd for when the tank was getting low and needs to be filled. It's very nicely flush mounted right next to the Cig lighter in the plastic and looks great!

After putting the UICP back on with new gaskets, bolting my cruse control back on, connecting my fuel line, wire looming the relays wires, and making everything look great, I went to the trunk to mount the spanking new pump they sent me. I mounted it under the spare tire, and screwed the new water tank onto the back of one of the seats, ran the feed line to the pump, wrapped some Teflon tape into the 3/8in bard fittings for the pum. I screwed the fitting into the pump finger tight & turned the it 1/2 of a turn and the casing cracked all the way down the side........................................... Completly baffled with my luck I wrenched it all the way in, filled the bottle, disconnected the jet from the UICP and hot wired it to my battery. Leaks from the crack.

I picked up my cell phone called Dave at Coolingmist on his cellphone (10pm his time) who knows me pretty well at this point. I'd called him twice today about correctly wiring in the relay, not to mention from my first pump failing, and a $130 upgrade order 3 days ago. After 5 mins on the phone he's sending me Another new 150psi pump with pre installed quick release fitting, tested, and to my door for just the cost of shipping! He's doesn't the other Sufuro 150psi pump back. He told me if down the road this new pump ever fails all I need to do is take the switch housings off the top and swap pumps. So "maybe" I'll have my h20 injection done 10 days from now when I get the package. All I have to say is WOW, just my luck...

Few other problems occurred today. Both my fault. TPS is whacked and Idleing at 1500 from wrenching the TB off without disconnecting the TPS. The other problem was from opening a box with my ignition key. The plastic sticky residue came off in my ignition. 1 hour of solvent, 5 mins of continuous prayer I found that having my steering wheel fully tilted to the bottom will allow for me to turn my car on. Any other position Its like the wheel-lock is activated. I have a feeling I'm going to be installing a new ignition soon..
