P0410 Fix???

I've had the on-going Service Engine Soon light come on numerous times over the last 18 months. Followed the AklldataDIY info, as well as the numerous posts here. I learned a lot, and located a chafed wire on the power lead to the secondary air pump. I replaced the stated relay as well. Then, after clearing the codes, the light would set again!
So, back to the basics, replaced the pump with a factory replacement, changed the relay again, cleared the code, and it returned!
Frustration, swearing, the usual treatment. My local shop researched the DTC, but it was the same as the Alldata info. Back to square One.
He promised to keep looking into it.
A former long-time GM mechanic at my workplace checked the car, finding that the recommended replacement GM relay had itself been superceded once again! Replaced the sensor, no change.
The neighborhood shop called me last week. Seems a Tahoe came in with the P0410 code, as well as another related DTC. They had commonalities, which interested the mechanic. He overlapped the symptoms from the DTCs and determined that the upstream oxygen sensor might have failed, thereby sending spurious info to the computer. This might make the secondary air system activate when not required, thereby sending wrong info to the computer, and setting the DTC of P0410.
He re-read the Alldata info on the secondary air system, what it does and why, to determine this opinion. I went out on a limb, purchased a new O2 sensor and had it installed. The DTC was cleared. The car stayed Service Engine Soon clean for last weeks trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento and return. Maybe that was the fix!
If the mechanic can determine that the O2 sensor failing can adversely affect an emission system that does not have the O2 sensor in it's troubleshooting flow-chart, how can that information be captured by Alldata as well as GM for passing along to other P0410 sufferers?
By the way, it's a 99 Intrigue, with 3.5, current mileage is 117k.

Thanks for passing along this information. Posting the info on AF is a good starting point.
However, I do not see what the mystery is concerning whether an 02 sensor will cause a DTC error code of P0410 (Air Injection System Malfunction) for Intrigues with the RPO NC8 air pump emissions option. The GM Mode 6 listings which I believe is contained in the respective GM service manual and other GM databases covers that and the two specific tests that are run. A Tech II diagnostics machine is used. The intrusive and non-intrusive test. The front 02 sensor is the focal point of the tests.
It sounds like the Alldata info has an omission or is deficient.
BTW - Also, I've seen a bad CAT convertor trip P0410.
