what engines fit in what gen 240sx?

do the blacktops only fit in the 97-98 240?

does the redtop only fit i the 90-94 240?

someone give the info please

The S13 engine both the red and blacktop fit in the S13 "BEST" that's from 89-94 (a 205HP engine stock)

The S14 engine (only blacktop available) fits in the S14 "BEST" and that's from 95-98 (220HP stock)

There's a S15 engine that can fit in the S14 better than the S13 but it CAN fit in both...(250HP stock)

PS: B4 u ask...there's no difference in the red and blacktop...just the blacktop's are newer than the redtops

clear that up, no difference between the S13 red and black top motors. However the S14 blacktop is different(newer, more powerful, different turbo)

From what I have heard from a guy in Cali that does SR swaps, he says the S14 motor installs easiest and cleanest into a S13 or S14. Better then the S13 would... But if you put in the S14 sr20det into the S13 chassis(89-94) you will need the S14 engine mounts instead of the S13 ones.

i am looking at building an sr20det and was wonder how much psi could the stock internals withstand and what psi the sleeves were rated at i want to run about 22 psi through the motor but i am unsure if i need to build up the bottom end to do this if anyone can help me let me know you can e-mail me at [email protected] thanks mike

The SR has been seen to handle 300-400 hp on the stock internals. At 22psi of boost you will most likely need to upgrade the bottem end. Also to run 22psi your going to need a new turbo along with many other things such as methods of delivering fuel, most likley and upgraded ignition, and a reprogrammed ecu. You will need a new turbo because the stock T25 (I'm just assuming your going redtop) will only be good to about 15psi then it will be past it's efficiency range and will just be blowing hot air into the engine and you will not be making power anymore.

What kind of Z parts are you selling...?
