hi,
I just got a valentine one for my GS300, and I can't seem to wire the radar into the gs' electrical system, when I read the manual, I got the hang of it, but I don't know how open the "box" where there are interior lights, sunroof buttons, etc as I believe that's the car's electrical system, the spot where I have to wire the radar into.
Anyway I got a 2001 GS 300 with an H&R performance suspensions and shocks =) I'm thinking into changing the tires and rims, but first of all gotta find the money for it =(

Thanks.

Try clublexus.com. Go to forums and search for valentine 1 or V1.
Several approachs addressed, to include wiring it to the doom light
near the rear view mirror.

Open the sun glasses compartment above the rear view mirror and you will see a plastic cover on each side. Gently pry the bottom of the cover up and you will uncover Phillips head screws; remove them. This will free up the front of the compartment. Pull down on the back of the "box" and the compartment will drop out (it is held in place by pop in anchors. The electrical connector to that compartment will have a Red with Blue striped wire which is +12 volts when the ignition is on and a White with Black striped wire which is ground. I mounted a power jack from radio shack on the drivers side of the ceiling panel in front of the sun visor. Be careful to select a jack which will fit inside the panel without hitting the roof. Good Luck! also, see if you can unload the Valentine One and replace it with a Passport. You'll be lots happier with the performance.
