anyone going to see it? i'm planning on seeing it tonight, even though i'm a giant puss when it comes to scary movies. but a bunch of us are goin and my sister wants to see it so we are all going to check it out. it looks pretty good and hopefully i can sleep tonight.

it's interesting though though how it seems like the horror genre goes through different trends. We had the slasher trend, i.e. Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer. then there was the quick little zombie trend with 28 Days Later (great movie), Dawn of the Dead, that other one with John Leguiziamo. it seems like the idea of the little kid being some sort of terror is becoming more prevalent. take movies like The Ring, The Grudge, Hide and Seek and now The Omen. I dont know what it is but i think that when the little kid is in the movie and acts scary i think it has a greater affect than some crazed guy goin around slashing people. Maybe it is because it we think of little kids as to be innocent and then in the movies it portrays them as these evil beings. j

ust an interesting thought i had, maybe this should have gone into the Philosophical forum :dunno: Anyways, back to topic who all is gonna see it?

I felt that the dialogue between the husband and wife was very hollow, as though they were there to get their acting jobs done and go. Other than that, it wasn't too terribly bad.

Was it anything like the original 1976 version?

I thought it was alright, the ending was terrible IMO.
