how do i take the governor out??

im trying to take the governor out of a 88 crx, can anyone help me?

Sorry to tell ya man, but that governer is called an engine...

which one? speed, or rev limiter?
if you live in US or canada you dont have a speed limiter (unless you want to call your motor it self that)
and the rev limiter is there for a reasion... i wouldnt move it or mess with it.

what all do u have done to ur car? if its stock..its useless to cut ur rev limiter cause that lil motor will not make anymore hp for u past 6800 especially if its a dx..and most likely u have a hard time reaching 100mph neways.

i never had a problem getting over 100. 120 seemed to be as fast at the cars wanted to go. but all my 4th gens were si's, minus the hf, which had a hard time doing over 80 lol.

yeah before the motor blew i could take my si up to about 117. the hf on the other hand i could get to a hundred but damn did it take a while lol

yea my dx went to about 110-115 that was about as fast as it would go

Yeah, b16 hits about 117..then the damn fuel cuts off, thats a scary jolt..

my dx did 117......but i was pushing it
