If you want a reliable car, I would stay away from that. That turbo is likely to grenade that automatic transmission very easily.

That is now a car that a newbie should try owning.

that is definately not a muscle car, maybe a tuners car. if the guy selling it calls it a muscle car, he's just trying to impress you and not trust worthy because he knows you don't know a thing about this car. a supra turbo and nissan skyline are not even considered muscle cars, they're just bad ass tuner cars...most muscle cars are american v8's

List of modifcations done.. Cross driller and slotted rotors 120 Ebc break pads 70 Eclipse rims 400 Alpine mp3 player 300 Infinity 6.5s 100 Boston acoustic 6X9s 100 Alpine type r sub (12) 200 Alpine 700 watt amp 390 Ported sub box 50 Reverse gauges 30 Silver bezel 25 Turbo 500 Intercooler piping 600 Spearco front mount Intercooler 350 Pacesetter Turbo manifold 150 Stainless steel oil line 37 Stainless steel fuel lines 15 Fmu 100 Fuel pump 100 Turbo boost gauge 35 Ventus hr2 tires 300 K&n filter 50 Blow off valve hks style 80 Down pipe 50 High flow cat 70 Kyb AGXS 350 Tein Springs 150 Cyber 2 Body kit Front and Sides 1300 painted and installed Koyo RADIATOR 200 Leather Interior 300

EST TOTAL = $5500-7000, dont know how long performance parts have been on or condition that they are in, or turbo installed or fmu, (keep in mind that value can be lower too)

BTW, the guys are right. No offense, but u obviosuly don't know enough yet about cars and u probably shouldnt be starting off on something like this.

Plus, if its the DE or ES models, u should just get a 240, for about 3000, which is RWD and about the same power and u can do an engine swap, for about another 3000, or slap a turbo on for like 2k, and be in the 200 HP range easily with an extra 2k for other goodies. Basically, do what you want but at least know what your buying.

Why not just build up a car yourself for $8k from stock? Like I was saying, but on whatever car you want.

Hope that helps. Late.

thats surely the best idea. i mean in all honesty, who would want a galant when there are so many other cars to choose from. galant isnt exactly the ideal platform to tune either. not only that but you can buy a standard car, and learn about how things work in the process of building it up. your also gonna know that the work was done RIGHT and your gonna have alot more fun even if you dont do the work yourself.. no matter what you choose to do, your gonna have to learn some stuff about cars. may seem like alot of reading, but if you use google, wikipedia and forums like this one, you wont regret it. BTW 240's are sick cars (both of us can vouch) if you put down 8k on a 240sx and mods for it, it would be a bad ass car.

i agree with every1 above u need to know how a car works and what parts a car has on helps alot. This sounds like a great car though but not a car for a person who doesnt know their motors very well. sorry

A mitsubishi could be a muscle car...the 3000gt seems like a muscle car. It's fast, heavy and handles horribly

As others have said this car isn't what the seller wants you to believe. Mitsubishi made a galant trim in the early 90s called the VR4. Had the 4g63 engine from an eclipse gsx with awd. Only 2000 were made so they are pretty rare, but that's the only galant I would bother calling sporty.

If you are new to cars get a shitty beater. If you already own a car, you may want to consider something you can modify and learn about. Pick a vehicle that is easy to source used parts, cheap, and reliable. A civic, prelude, integra, and many other FWD cars fall into this category. You can buy a low powered RWD or AWD, but there aren't a whole lot that are really cheap and can be moded cheaply and easily.

With the experience you learn from them you can buy a rwd and know what you are doing with it right away. Whether you choose to buy a transam or a 240sx. Those cars are great with aftermarket, but you have to know how to drive them first.
