Please Help with Yukon XL A/C problem!

Ok,
Here is what I have, a 2001 GMC Yukon XL with dual air and computer controlled head unit.
This is what it is doing, sporatically, usually when its hotter out (I live in AZ), the a/c will just shut off. The fan will keep blowing but the small orange light on the a/c button turns off, when I try to push it back on it blinks 3 times and stays off. After a while, sometimes 20 inutes, sometimes 1 hour it may come on again for a bit and then turn back off.
Ok the fun part, this is where I have taken it so far, 3 local mechanics and 1 local GM dealership.
This is whats been done to date:
1) Control head changed
2) Outside temp sensors changed
3) Rear view mirror changed out (with temp reading)
4) A/c checked both high pressure valves
5) evaced and recharged numerous times and all says its well when it works
6) all wiring under dash checked for connectivity
Ive been told its the sensors, its the head, its the wiring, Ive spent over $500 so far and it does the freakn exact same thing.
If anyone has heard of this problem, please email me a suggestion before I go broke or burn the truck. It has 69,000 miles on it.
