Bumper impact strip

Do any of you folks know the best way to attach the impact strip to the bumper? There are no holes in either the strip or the bumper (other than the two mounting holes that attach to the shock tubes). I know that the ends attach through bumper then the caps go on. I'm not sure what to do with the four feet or so of the center. Any help would be appreciated.
