okay i am a forth gen guy so i dont know too much bout 5th gen. my question is what is the "EL" under the "CIVIC/EL". sorry i know this is a stupid quesion but will someone answer it please

It's the Acura EL, very similar to the 5th gen Civics. Do a google search on them.

i think its deferant from country to other. for exampel in my country the lx has no thing powe and 1500cc but the ex has all thing power and 1500 cc also . and the si has all thing power and 1600.
i think honda company if found the country is kind peopel and did not interst in power things it send them the non power things with same price the power things :)))

It's definently different from country to country. vette_7t9 what country are you in? Your profile says D.C., but then it says Canada. If your car is in the US, then it's not an LX (if you don't have power windows, door locks, and mirrors), or at least it's not a '92-'95 LX I would assume. If your car is in Canada, then I have no clue. The US EX did have the same engine as the Si (d16z6). But I believe the EX in Canada is different; our US EX is Canada's Si (The US Si is a hatchback).

Canadian EX has power windows, locks, and mirrors, no ac (or at least not mine), 125hp engine.
