I have a '93 Yukon GT and it has the 4,000 rpm redline engine. I was wondering what is the determining factor in such a low redline? I wanted to make sure it wasnt something major cause I would really like to increase that redline since I use it to tow my boat. Thanks in advance

Cam shaft, valve springs, head flow and fuel delivery are probably the main factors in the engine's redline rating.
If you want to increase it, you probably want to change the cam and match the valve springs to the lift of the cam. Heads and a better flowing TBI would also be a good idea as well, IMHO.
