3.1 Engine - Slight Oil Leak

Just changed oil filter and added new engine oil. Now have oil weep from region of distributor shaft area. This oil runs down front of transmission case. It is engine oil, no doubt.

I checked the oil level and its a bit high, about 3/16 inch above full level.

I seem to remember a thread mentioning the O-ring on the distributor shaft being a cause of oil leaks.

Do I take some oil out of the sump or take out the distributor and fit a new O-Ring to the shaft.:p

Problem sorted. Took out distributor and found O ring brittle. Fitted new O ring and applied high temp sealant around joint. Whole job took less than hour.

And before you ask, the engine started afterwards.
