I have a 1996 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 and i need a new motor. if anyone has one for sale let me know. i think other years will fit, because we looked at a 91 and all the mounts but the transmission mount were the same.

Hello what exactly are you looking for in a motor ?

I have a 2.2 in a 1990 Cavalier that will need a head gasket and a timing belt for sure. I had this engine running a few monthes ago untill the timing belt jumped. It ran a bit rough on idle but smoothed out when you gave it some throttle. It wasn't making any knocking or death noises. The odo says 80k but I don't know if it's turned over once. The car looks like a 180k car. I'll take $100.00 for it,that includes everything except the starter. I seen you are in MI, We make frequent trips to the Detroit, Port Hurron and surrounding areas. We usually charge $50.00 for such a delivery. The engine is still in the car and I have plans to remove it just no time frame yet. let me know if you are interested. e-mail us at [email protected] I will check our cross reference guide to make sure it will fit the 96 and post it.

Thanks Mike
