I think they are mostly built from similar materials when you are talking about similar types (hinged fiberglass, snap on vinyl, tri-fold, etc).
I've never had one, but my brother-in-law had a fiberglass one made by SnugTop on an S-10. It was hinged at the front, but the hinges were basically c-shaped clips so that if you undid the hydraulic assists near the middle, you could lift the cover to a high enough angle to disengage it, and take it off easily. Worked great until he bent the hinge mount points on the bed moving a dresser.

Extang makes a really nice one that is tri-fold and quick remove. A guy I work with has one and loves it. I have a Fiberglass one and it is cumbersome to get off and on (need 2 people).

Yes it will - it is completely removable. My co-worker has an 06 F250 8 foot bed and he can completely remove the cover in about 1 minute by himself. His bed is Rhino lined.

I believe he paid $295. My fiberglass cover came with the used truck I bought, but was probably about $800-1000 when purchased.

Not the same, but that store sells the Extang Tri-Fecta on page 4 of Extang category:

I can only speak to that one, I dont know about the one you listed. Speed Channel did a show on the Extang also and that's where I learned about it. They liked it too.

How secure are the extang covers? .... I have a pewter regular bed silverado with a solid fiberglass tonneau cover. I am thinking about selling it and putting an extang one on, mainly so I can easily take it off when needed.
anyone in CA interested in a pewter tonneau cover? It does come off easy, you just need two people to do it.

I have the truxedo lopro roll-up cover. Never have to remove it, just roll it up to the front of the bed and secure it with 2 straps, then I have full access to the bed. And it fits on a truck with an under the rail bedliner. So far I have been happy with it. The lopro is a bit pricier, but I liked the lower profile. Some of the other versions are less.

Hard folding tonneau cover. safe, water tight, secure, fully removeable, easily removemable.
Here is one idea to consider
