Clutch Problem

My clutch was pretty much 100% gone a few weeks ago, so I decided to replace it. I am pretty strapped for cash, so me and a friend (who has done a lot of clutches before) performed the installation which went pretty good. A few problems here and there, but nothing major. (Damaged the forward oxygen sensor beyond repair. Guess I need to take a trip to Autozone...:banghead: )
Well, yesterday is the day we finished putting everything back on.
Started up the car (which idles erratic now probably due to a combination of the lightened flywheel and missing oxygen sensor), and backed it out of his driveway. I put it in first-gear and released the clutch and heard sort of a clunk/thump/crash noise. It wasn't loud and it didn't make the car shake, but after that, my clutch is completely gone. The pedal provides resistance, but I can have it in gear and step on the gas and I go nowhere.
We've checked a few things...
-The slave cylinder is still moving when the clutch pedal is pressed and the throwout arm on the transmission is still solid, so I'm assuming it is still against the throwout bearing which is against the pressure plate.
-We DID bleed the clutch and I checked the fluid again. It is topped off.
-We replaced the throwout bearing and the pilot bearing and all of the bolts are torqued to spec.
The only thing I noticed is that if I put the clutch in and rev the engine, there is a whining sound that seems to change at a different rate than the engine (i.e. if I let go of the gas, it stops long before the engine is back at idle).
The clutch is an Exedy and the flywheel is a Fidanza. The clutch is an OEM equivalent.
Does anybody have any ideas on what could have happened here? I'm REALLY hoping the throwout bearing didn't either 1) get wedged in a little off center when we put the transmission back on or 2) The pressure plate is stuck.
I REALLY do not want to have to take everything back off just to find out it is something simple...
I might just take it to a mechanic and let them mess with it, but if you guys have any ideas that don't involve ripping the transaxle out again, I'll try them out.

No, because the car won't move at all. However, before the new clutch died, the speedo DID NOT work. I did plug the speed-sensor back into the transmission.

Your pressure plate is stuck to the clutch. almost guarenteed. especially if it is any kind of dual friction clutch with a mostly metalic surface.

...sigh...
:frown:
:banghead:
Looks like the transmission gets to come off again then...I've checked everything outside of the bell-housing possible and everything is working perfectly. Oh well... just another 6 1/2 hours worth of work.

splines are ALL the way in from the 32mm hub nut to the axle to the halfshaft to the tranny?
