removed balance shaft question

After reading the FAQ, it was said its essential to do, how hard is this to do? I really have no idea what so ever, but hearing that its essential sounds interesting. This wouldn't mess with the car overtime would it either? Well, fill me in, i hope its not too hard. lol

The engine will vibrate more and act more like an older 90's 4-banger. As for removing, I have no idea. It doesn't sound like something a mechanically inept person should try.
