Dudes and dudetts...what i tought would never happen to me...happend.
My WRX was stolen from my driveway on sunday morn @ 2am. The mother fuckers who stole it did'nt get far, becasue the engine died out on them...it was found down the street with the wiring harness laying all over the place and a screwwdriver through the ingnition.
What do you think caused the car to cut out and die? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of security system i should put in the car...maybe one of those GPS tracking devices or something like that.
Please advise...and tell me if your scooby was ever stolen.

I got Lojack on mine. According to the company 95% of veh's stolen with it installed are recovered.

It happend in front of my house....I dont know how the car stalled, but it dioed on them a few streets down...maybe its a factory fuel cutoff or something.
BTW what is lojack and where can i read somemore about it???

i know why it died...
because it missed its owner and it knew the mother fuckers that stole it didnt deserve it. Ppl with the nerve to steal cars need ... :mad:
i have heard of a system that you put in..and when the car is stolen it makes some high pitched noise..so that if your in the car (stealing it) you will go like temporarily (sp?) deaf and will HAVE to get out.. but the downfall is ... if they steal your keys...your screwed

Can't wait to get it back...oh ya btw...I think i have an idea on who stol the car, but I wont jump to conclusions.

i gott another suggestion...
have you ever heard of VIPER systems???
I dont' know what the website is.. but a couple of friends of mine have it installed in their WRX's because they were stolen. And I have been told they work great..but if you want something that makes the car "untouchable" this isnt it...just a suggestion
btw, how much damage did they cost to the scooby :( :mad:

www.lojack.com. its the only vehicle recovery deal that works in coordination with the police department

The total cost for damages is:
$1800 cad dollars for a new winshield installed and all.
$1000 cad dollars for a new sterring whell column and ingnition wiring harness.
For a total of $2800 cad dollars.
I cant wait to get it back.
