93 water pump

hey all,
got a 93 p71, gonna replace water pump before to long. gonna replace the fan clutch to, but ive seen ford fan removal tools. are these that hard to get off? is there some trick to em? gonna look on ebay for a used set but was curious what to expect of the job.

I have taken them off with a long screwdriver to hold the pully( wedge down through two bolts) and a set of big channel locks. After you break it loose, they usually come off with your hand.
