windshield

i have a 2002 grand am gt...i was looking at getting a radar detector because i ahve gotten a number of tickets...in the instructions it says to find out if your windsheild has an instaclear or electraclear coating before installing becuase this will screw up the detector...does anyone know if that year grand am has this???....thanks

I would have to say that the grand am does not have either one of those. The electraclear should be like having the rear window grid on the lower part of the front windshield( i could be wrong). the instaclear, i have no clue what that is, but i know my window doesn't instantly clear.... LOL

i beleave if im not mistaken both of these are on high end cars bmws and so forth

I would hate to buy some expensive devise,
only to find it doesnt work because of a stupid windshield :licka:
