Testors Metallizer

Ok.

I'm about to pick up some supplies. I'm looking for some input on the Testors Metalizers. Is the sealer necessary? How does it change the look of the metalizer? also buff or non buff?

i dont think the sealer is needed, I heard it makes the paint "dull".

I find the sealer is definitely needed on the buffing metalizers otherwise the paint will continue to rubb off. Can't see it would be needed on the non-buffing provided a good surface preparation and primer is used.

I haven't found the sealer has any drastic effect on the look, other than giving a slightly glossy finish. A further coat of the required sheen will correct that if desired. But then I mainly use the darker more weathered Model Master metalizers like exhaust and titanium, brighter colours may be different.

The buffing types are the more interesting. The non buff colours appear to be much the same as the regular MM line.
