AMPLIFIER:
------------------------
Rockford Fosgate Punch P6002 600W

Features include:2 channels
150 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS
300 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS
600 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS
600 Watts total power
HP 40-400Hz 12dB per Octave
LP 40-400Hz 12dB per Octave
Frequency Response 20 to 20k Hz +/- .5 dB

SPEAKERS x 2
-------------------------
Audiobahn SWS-1242Ds

12" 4 Ohms DVC SUBWOOFERS
Peak Power 9000W (each)
RMS Power 300W (each)
Frequency Response: 26Hz - 1kHz

If I wire these DVC subs to the amp via parallel connection. Since the AMP produces 300W x 2 @ 2 Ohms, will the 4 Ohm speaker coils reduce the total RMS power to 300W?

Please say you havent actually bought anything yet, there better amps and subs out there for a better price.

But on topic if you wire the subs for 2 ohms to each channel then no the voice coils alone are 4 ohm but wired in parallel you will have a 2 ohm load.
