i pulled this out of a different thread that was about dropping a h22a into a civic. but my car is an integra(non vtec) one person's opinion was to turbo my original motor after doing the internals. while this would definately add more power than putting a h22a in my car, this is my argument for the big motor (relatively speaking) :

adding turbo lag to a tourque-less 1.8 liter is not my idea of the best daily driver. during my commute i spend about as much time below 4000 rpm as above it. a 2.2 liter sounds ALOT more like the speedy daily driver i have in mind.

besides, this way of developing the car has much more potential. if i were to supercharge the h22a at a later time, the car would get pretty sick at the track, and would have even more daily-torque in the low end. what do you think everyone?

i'm pretty convinced it sounds like a good idea, but does anyone know anyone who knows anyone who has done this?

pro's? con's? cmon!

I just read the other thread you (mustbedamonkey) was in and it kinda put some doutbs in my mind.

I was thinking of putting a JDM prelude Type S (220Hp) engine (Yes Type S ...got access to one) into a light Civic HB...but as the other guys here helped see, there is a problem with the weight distribution.

I know the car would really do some damage on the track, but i think i would also want to have it as a daily driven car.....ummmm problem?..... i guess i'll continue doing my reseach on H22 swaps and see what i can gather.

Don't intend to do the swap anytime soon, so i'll have enough time to think it out.
