1994 Sonoma SLE, 4.3L........All of my interior lights are stuck on and they will not turn off. The lights that are on are the ones on the rear view mirror, under the dash and also above the rear window. I dont know if there's some switch somewhere that I cannot find or if a module went out or something. Has anyone else experienced this? Right now I've removed two fuses to get the lights off but the only problem with that is the tail lights are on the same fuse. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Well, the dimmer switch/knob if you move it all the way up will lock the interior lights on. If you havent investigated that yet, try that. Never heard of them staying on for any other reason except possibly the off chance a hot wire is shorted to that interior light circuit...but if thats the case and it is tied to your tail lights, then they would be on all the time too. Try the knob first...if moving it down or off the "on" all the way up position doesnt fix it, maybe the knob/switch itself is shorted or bad.

Any grounding wire for the interior lights that is cut, pinched, or otherwise grounded (aside from the door jamb switches) will keep the lights on constantly. I had a C/K truck which had a grounded wire over the headliner and the same thing happened.

Creepingdeath,
You were right. It was just that gauge light wheel turned all the way up. I feel stupid, I never even knew that switch could activate all the interior lights. Well, I guess I learn something new everyday. Thanks......
