this was the original thread ((( :banghead: 92 chevy astro van runs very rough till warms up, was running great, at a stop light it started trying to die on me. The van misses and spits and sputters and pops in the fuel injector area. What i have done so far (changed plugs, wires, dist. cap,map sensor, o2 sensor, changed the tbi fuel injectors,fuel filter, fuel pump, throttle position sensor,and fuel relay switch, and pvc valve) has made the van run alot better once it warms up but still has jumpyness and hesitations. checked the codes it had 33,34,43,44 and hence i replaced sensors , now the computor reports no problems.
i could really use your help guys, i cannot think of anything but that i didnt replace the wires on the injectors, got any suggestions?????:screwy:
)))
i kept hearing what is your fuel pressure and i wondered what for i replaced the fuel pump , so i took it to a mechanic to get a reading and he said 3 to 5 days hed get it back to me so i went and bought a new pump and proceded to replace it and then i found the problem it was the rubber hose connecting the fuel pump to the line had a inch slit in it ,replaced that and walla new running van again . To date i had spent 1354.98 on repairs for this problem and it turned out to be a rubber hose that was 1.65
thank you for your help and beating into my head about the fuel pressure

Fuel pressure is just so important on these engines.... Can't stress that enough. My 92 van seemed to run fine. Then the pump died and I replaced it. After that the van ran sooooo much better it was like it was a new engine. Glad you got it fixed and are running good now!

That's not uncommon. Most often, I'll replace the pulsation damper with just a straight section of hose, and let the pressure regulator handle the rest. Just have one this week:
