ok i have seen alot of people posting about these
my car has them but i didnt install them i bought the car already modded
pretty much all the stuff i would of wanted to do so i did pretty well with the car in that reguards
but the Gauges dont work
i saw some wires from them but they went down under the dash at first i assumed they went to the knob that ajusted the brightness of the dash lights but now i am having 2nd thoughts on that
are these wires indeed the wires i need to connect to get power to the gauges or do they go to the dimmer
i get lights from the needles and behind the gas/oil
but the rest is dark
neone have any ideas about the wires that come out
i believe they are black and white (not sure if that matters)

When I wired up my reverse Glows, I wired them right up with the dimmer switch I think. See what happened is I had a dash fire a couple of years ago and that was caused by an ef up behind the stereo, anyways when I hooked my gauges up I had all sorts of singed wires to deal with. So I had to break out the manuel to find out which ones to hook up to, there was a green and I think black one and the other one I found by a test light. Just check your manuel for the wires that run the tail light relay, then you should find the wires to the dimmer and then you should be able to find the colors to the wires you need to hook up to.

4 wires probably come out o fhte pod somewhere. They run to an inverter. From the inverter if you don't have a knob somewhere you have just power and ground coming to it. I ground mine on the bolt right behind the dash cover.
Look for old posts by boostedspyder on here. On his cardomain page (linked off his profile) he has a pic of the wire you need to splice into for power then.
Enjoy

i did try to find that old post by boostedspyder but i never came across it
he had about 4 pages of posts but none that had to do with reverse gauges
maybe i just missed it i'll look again
but part of my question is does the stock gauge unit have wires or does it do all of its connecting to the 3 plugs that stick out of the back of my dash behind it?

The stock gauges get power from those three big plugs that plug into the back of the assembly.

the picture is about half way down. You may have to blow it up with a magnifier. But once oytu have out the block that has the connectors in it's easy to compare pictures or put a meter in the socket.
