mini cooper air bag code

I had the seat out of my 06 cooper s ( modified it so I could sit in it for more than 20 minutes without severe back pain) and forgot to connect the wires before I started it. It threw an air bag code. The dealer wants $120 to get rid of the code. Anybody know of an inexpensive way to do it? Any help would be appreciated.
