A/C Compressor?

Om my 94 Cavalier RS I have the belt removed from the compressor as I dont use the A/C anymore. On my scantool I am reading a Quad Driver Failure I believe this is because the belt is removed and the system is inactive although the relays still try to be set by the PCM on engine start up. Since there is power still going to the compressor could I just remove the power clip from the compressor? Would this effect anything else? At first I tried to remove the A/C relay but that effects the blower motor for the heat. Can I just remove that clip? Thanks Tom :banghead: :banghead:
