OBD port not working. Possible bypass?

Anyways, a couple months ago check engine light comes on and I take my car to Advanced auto and Autozone to let them scan it. They plug it to my OBD port and tell me that my car wont link to the computer for some reason. Both stores told me this. So I figure they don't know what the hell they're talking about so I buy a logger and sure enough when I try to use it I can't link to the cars computer either. :shakehead So now I know that it is definatley the car causing the problem. I figure that the wiring from the port to the OBD module box or w/e you call it is screwed. So basically I want to know if I can bypass the OBD port all together and hook my logger up to the OBD box (I think its under my center console, right?). If anyone can tell me how to do this or if it can be done, or any other options I have, please let me know.
Thank you
Thank you

I might be wrong but the ECU is the cars computer that the scanners can't sync with. If it's the wiring you could try to rip it from another car and hook it up. IF not then something in the ECU is no longer functioning since it's not speaking ODB-II over the port.
I could be wrong but I believe they are directly connection I don't think there is anything in between.

Have you checked for power at the OBD port? Make sure that you have power at the plug before you go replacing the ECU (if that's the route you're taking)
