I have some bad news,it is in the tank and you have to buy the whole fuel pump,it is part of the fuel pump.Chrysler put in the tank since no one changes the fuel filter

I know that I will have to drop the fuel tanks. I already have the fuel filter, that goes in the tank. I was wanting to know if there were any special tools that I need.

The fuel filter is on the bottom of the fuel pump, which sucks. The actual filter is small and has been known to break. So what I did is just bought a new fuel pump. $229.00 at Oreilly's Auto. Nobody could get me just the fuel filter. I was told that on Dodge Durango when the filter goes so does the pump.

Being able to get the actual fuel line off of the regulator was a pain. Other than that you should be good. It took me about 20 minute to get the tank droped, and get the lock ring off, and pull the filter out. It was a little difficult that I had never done that before, but my Durango runs now with no slugishness.
