Here's some pics I took of my car at the shop. It's almost done being painted/kitted, they're just working on the wing, the mirrors, and the door-handles... Anyways, I should get the car back tomorrow (after 3+ weeks). The color doesn't look right in the pictures, I'll have some ones with sunlight lighting soon. Anyways, hope you like 'em:

I like it very much, nice hood-is that air that is coming in going anywhere, is it conected to intake or is that just to look good  , I like the color too, and body kit is nice too, but I don't like the exhaust pipe, now it don't mach the kit, what do you think, will you replace it and I think it's alittle to long...

Very nice lookin' car  very very good job done:eek2:

Thanks emil!

Actually, the exhaust is fine. They had to unhook the exhaust to put the rear bumper on, and I need to get some new rubber hangers for the exhaust otherwise, the tip touches the bumper. So it just looks weird in the picture.

Also, the hood is cold-air induction, so it's not ram-air (it's not connected directly to the intake, it just brings cooler air into the front of the engine bay (there's a duct that routes the air towards the front).

Will you take the pics of hood how it looks inside that I'll see how it's done...
I'm also thinking of getting an EVO7 model for hood so with that I'll achive that the hot air from cooler will get out, and with that I'll improve my cooling system (that man that is in rally buisnes sugested me that, he had two big ones on his hood on ford escord cosworth-CRAZY CAR he's compiting in rally with it)...

I can hardlly wait to see final product so far going good

Love the projectors!!!! LOVE THEM! And the kit is a VIS Racing "Invader" bumper (ordered from VIS). The rest is Wings West... ordered from Wings West.

Well, the sides aren't interchangeable between CRX and Hatch, but they have a very similar shape if that's what you mean.

Yeah, clear corners would be mad gay on there!

I got some stock corners that I popped the lenses off of, then I blacked out the housing under the clear part, and left the chrome on the part behind the amber reflector... We'll see how it looks when I put them on.

What color paint, and how much do those wheels weigh?

ci5ic
07-30-2002, 05:20 PM
The paint color is Dark Bowling Green Metallic. It's the metallic green they use on the new C5 Corvettes...

The rims are really heavy (26.5 lbs each, not including tires). So when I race, I use my 15" Konig Tuners with BF goodrich Euro T/A tires, I can't remember how much those weigh though.

i love them projectors?? may i ask where you got them and if they bolted on easily?? I saw some 88-89 CRX projectors but they said it needed some modification to bolt on a 90 hatch. So i'd just like some info. That's nice man, i love it. That's what i was going to to. Erebuni shogun front, wings west rs rear, and combat side skirts with door caps. (sorry don't remember the name of the combat side skirts). Looks nice. Love it!!! Put some alteeza's :) hehe. Get the black chrome or carbon fibre. I got silver alteeza's and they look nice. but nice ride man!!

The projectors were ordered from www.autodynamic.com, and they were for the 88-89 CRX. It was actually pretty easy to get them in, but you do need to modify some things.

You have 2 options. You can just bolt them in, in place of the OEM headlights, and then modify the corner lenses, or you can swap the mounting brackets from the OEM's to the projectors. I chose to bolt them in and modify the corner lenses.

Once the projectors are bolted in, you'll notice that the corner lens mounting bracket (the little arm with screw-hole that extends off the corner lense housing) doesn't fit into the projector mounting bracket. So, I used my dremel with a cutting disc and trimmed the corner lense mounting bracket to fit (took me about 5 minutes to do both sides). Then, you have to drill a hole in the projector mounting brackets to secure the corner lenses. I had to buy a long 1/8" drill bit to do it, but once that's done, you can secure the corners to the projectors with a 1/8" wood screw... That's it.

One thing you should know, if you have (or plan to get) a cold-air intake, is that the projector housings extend farther into the engine bay than the OEM ones, and on the passenger side, partially blocks the big hole to the resonator. I just have a DC Sports intake, so it worked fine for me.

The MTA buses around here have awesome taillights that are LEDs that are actually shaped like arrows and point the way of the turn signals, it's sweet.

You car is nice and really well done but it's way too much for me. I like the simpler look.
