blowing smoke

have a 1996 gs new exhaust put in custom. also new head gasket the problem is i am blowing out smoke and fumes smoke is blue. can any one help?

burning oil, since you dont feel like telling us more like when it blows smoke, how much etc, we can't help you

sry. its my wifes car the smoke is white and the smell is strong when she stops at a light thats when we notice it the most also the engine light came on .the place we bought it from told us that they changed the head gasket when we got it .that was a month ago but i come to relize that it has been blowing white smoke since then.

you have a leak of oil if it's blue. white if it stops after a while could be water burning off.

I'd say they either didn't really fix the head gasket or they did it wrong.

question? if they did fix the gasket but didnt change the oil would that cause the white smoke from coolant mixed in the oil that was there

No. If you were burning oil it would smoke blue, burning coolant makes white smoke and a cause of blowing white smoke is a bad headgasket. I agree with nova that they didn't change the head gasket or did it wrong. Take it back and tell them to put in another one and do it correctly and that you're not paying to get it done again.

thanks for the help iam going to bring it back to them on monday the warenty ran out a couple of days ago but i have told them about it before the smoke that is hopefully they will do the rite

If they say screw off then just tell them you're gonna go to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and tell them that you got screwed over by the shop, most of the time the shop will just comply (to some extent) and just do the job for you.
