Power/Economy Toggle Switch...

I'm having a hard time disconnecting the old P.E.T. switch to put in a new one... the cd/radio column is all out and I still can't seem to get close enough to it to get it out...

Any Advice?

Where is the switch? My 96 doesn't have one.

but from the picture, I think that is the ecs button, not the active exhaust button. So where is yours?

you will have to remove the radio. take off the shifter. then take off the main side panels with the carpet. then disconnect the cig. lighter. an then u will have to take off that main piece that covers over the shifter. theres like 100(8) screws holding it on an its impposible to get to. so i took some side cutters an just cut them all. its pretty easy. there are still some other screws an brackets u can get to to take it off, so its not like its gonna fall off once u put everything back together. then once thats off ull see the shifter unit. then just take off the 4 screws holding the cover of the shifter unit on an once thats off the switch pops right out. :)

A)for some reason... I completely removed the radio... (no music... big gaping hole...) :)

B)I'm having trouble removing some of the main screws for the shifter...

C) side panels... one is already removed [and replaced] for wiring & a switch (neons)

D) Cig lighter has been disconnected...
