questions for a friend

Hello everyone,

I have a good friend that has some problems with his 2000-2001 sunfire.

He says he has the 4 cyl. but 3 times in a row he would get his AC recharged only to have it be empty the next day!?

It has to be a leak but no one can find it any ideas?

Also its been pinging badly lately reguardless of the gas octane he puts in it and is wondering whats causeing it he said its driving him nuts as he cant figure it out.

which 4cyl?

most likely the compressor is gone for the A/C.

Knock sensor? is there a check engine light?

I'll ask him about the check engine light.

I believe he said its a 2.0 or 2.1?

I was afraid it might be the compressor. :frown:

I'll say a 2.2L

if he's got a GT, then it's a 2.4L he'll know if he's got a GT.
