MSD wire problems

Ok...have a 1995 Tahoe with 150,000 miles...got it second hand. Replaced the wires(used), rotor, cap, and coil with MSD. Plugs were Delco rapid fires. Ran great for a while and then wires began slipping off. Vehicle would bog down upon acceleration.

Ordered new wires from MSD and took care of the problem. Switched out plugs to Bosch 2's from the Delco's.

Still notice a slight hesitation and/or bogging down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Search the C/K and Silverado forums about the Bosch plugs. I would have stuck with the Rapid Fires.

Try Autolite double platinums. My 95 with 150K runs great with them.

The tbi motors will always have a slight miss at an idle. Some other things to look at that will cause a miss are the distrubutor, if the bushing are going bad (pull the cap and check for side to side play in the shaft), also a bad fuel pressure reugulator or leaking injector can also cause a miss. OH BY THE WAY BOSCH PLUGS SUCK.

After a new set of MSD wires, the truck runs much better. There was still a slight bogging down...after making sure several times that the wires were all on correctly the engine does not display that issue as much. I think I am going to pull the Bosch's this week and throw in a new set of Rapid Fires. I will let you know the outcome.
