(oh yea my SN is different cuz i am at my friends and i can't get my pw cuz i dont have that e-mail anymore, please dont delete me mods)
Well since i got my ass beat the other day here is any easy redeamer. I am driving down Fred Waring and i notice this pewter/brown 06 Si. So im like, whatever..i drive past a couple cars swoop around him and am crusing along at about 65. Now keep in mind there is alot of frickin cars around us at this point. He comes hualing ass up next to me and revs! I looked over and laughed a little cuz it was unexpected, and he keeps pulling ahead of me and braking cuz there is a car in front of him. So as soon as his lane opened up i pulled ahead and into it. We get to a stop light and he is fucking reving at me (still with tons of cars around us). Anyways, to shorten the story a bit, he gets in front of me at the stop light because of traffic, so i get behind him cuz now i don't want to let him get away, and he starts hauling ass, I am just sitting on his tail waiting for the lanes to open up, they do and i get in front of him and he pulls around the other car and gets to lane next to me, and starts flooring...so i floor it and start counting..1...2...3...4...by the time i hit about 8 car lengths we were going about 95-100 and i flashed my hazards. So thats my story, it may not be a z28 but this guy thought he was bad ass in his si so i had to shut em down.

I guess it was quick for a second or two, but then my torque was just overpowering. But I raced this RSX Type-S once with a built K-series and that thing was friggin fast, he jumped me off the line and i didn't get next to him and start passing him till about 115.

You're getting jumped by all sorts off the line eh.
I thin we should be expecting 15s from you when u finally run.:evillol:
And at 115, I would have thought the RSX-S has the advantage.
No offence, but ur storis are full of anomalies

yeah, yeah..well we will see when I hit the track, and believe me ONCE i caught up to the RSX i was passing him @ 115 because my friend was looking at my speedometer and was like "Damn thats the smoothest 120 ever." (after we passed him)

I'm not at all surprised. I find the new Si to be heavily overrated. It runs high 14's, blah blah blah, big deal. The old Japanese cars from the 90's were the real deal (RX7 TT, 300ZX TT, Supra TT, VR4, etc..). People just do a circle jerk over these cars, and I can't understand it.

Exactly! Whatever happend with that. Mazda makes a RX-8 which cant even be compared to the RX-7 now, the 350z < 300zx TT, Supra TT> any Toyota , VR4 > well...I cant think of any Mitsubishi thats being made that it better than the VR4. It seems like that whole group of cars just went down the shitter all of the sudden.

well if you're passing an rsx-s in the top end with a wrx (built for the low end)...then the K20 must not have been very "built" as u claim.

I would have to agree with you on this one.....you would thing it would be the other way around.....meaning you getting the jump on the rsx-s and he top ending you....expecially if his motor was buil and you are stock....I know for a fact that with just I/H/E and hondata that k20 should have pulled you pretty good from 115...

What?!?!
He listed a group of Japanese sports cars. The MR2 was a sport compact and no where near the level of those cars. Also, to compare a Civic to these is a joke. Yes, it's sad that all we're seeing from Japan right now are some really fast sport compacts I would love to see the return of some very dominant turbo sports cars.
As for this race, eight car lengths, I don't buy that especially at that speed. Every WRX I've ever raced lost all motivation after about 80MPH including the one that I've test driven. So eight car lengths at that speed, I don't think so. The new Si isn't that down on power compared to your car.

Hmmm... a Built K20 is a high top end motor. So you passed him at 115?
Do you know what year?
As what the other guys said I think It should be the other way:screwy:

I dunno why people are stating that I am comparing the old Japanese Monster Cars versus the Civic in a performance standpoint. I'm comparing the reaction to the Civic as akin to the Japanese Monster Cars. Everyone's calling it a top end phenom, that it handles incredibly well, puts out close to 100hp per liter, etc... Big deal.... I suppose if I was doing races from a roll all the time i'd have more love for the car, but the fact of the matter is that the car has no torque. Sure it'll trap 96-97mph, but with a 14.9 sec. 1/4 mile. Am I the only one analyzing this? That's what everyone makes fun of some of the Supras for (Though it isn't necessarily true).
I know that Civics can be made to be fast (Just recently videotaped a run between my buddies 500whp versus a Civic, and he got beat pretty bad ~primarily due to driver error - poor gear selection). I just think the Si is over hyped.

cams, pulleys, possibly valve springs and other mods probably intake, exhaust for sure(i never said fully built)I passed him in 5th gear going 115-by the time i hit 120 i was about a car and half on him. I don't give a damn if you guys believe me or not anyways, i was there. I know damn well K-series motors are powerful when built up, my friend has a FULLY built k-series thats pulling 11's with absolutly no forms of forced induction.

Maxxus states that he wants to go to the track with Danno and I. I'll let you guys know how well he, myself, and Danno do. It won't happen until June 17 though (It's gonna be kinda hot, but the track is more or less sea level).
Maybe I can ask to borrow my buddies video camera, so that I can arrange a race between Maxxus and a Civic Si. In my honest experience though, I don't see too many civics that run 13's without serious mods at the track that I go to, but hey, who knows?
Anyone else in the Southern California area is welcome to run if they wanna go to Famoso Raceway.

4th gear in 5-speed WRX's top out at 120. So you short-shifted, and STILL pulled? So you pulled in your lowest-accelerating-gear, while out of your powerband? Right.
I suggest you look at the acceleration figures of an RSX-S vs a non-STi WRX below:
Speed / RSX-S / WRX
0-30 mph / 2.32 s / 1.61 s
0-40 mph / 3.78 s / 3.25 s
0-50 mph / 4.88 s / 4.49 s
0-60 mph / 6.82 s / 5.90 s
0-70 mph / 8.45 s / 8.46 s
0-80 mph / 10.88 s / 10.56 s
0-90 mph / 13.39 s / 13.28 s
0-100 mph / 16.06 s / 17.60 s
0-110 mph / 20.64 s / 21.69 s
0-120 mph / 25.58 s / 27.38 s
0-130 mph / 31.82 s / 39.64 s
0-140 mph / 59.38 s / 61.27 s
That's stock-vs-stock, much less a built one. I believe your race exists. You just raced a Base RSX, and can't admit it.

That's stock-vs-stock, much less a built one. I believe your race exists. You just raced a Base RSX, and can't admit it.
the base rsx's are slow as balls stock,, i guess a "built" one of those would be decent competetion for a wrx:dunno:
4th gear in 5-speed WRX's top out at 120. So you short-shifted, and STILL pulled? So you pulled in your lowest-accelerating-gear, while out of your powerband? Right.
I suggest you look at the acceleration figures of an RSX-S vs a non-STi WRX below:

Carrrnuttt i'm really trying to grip with this whole gear ratio and performance top end wise of the RSX Type S, but i'm really lost here. I see tons of RSX Type S's on the road, and they really aren't anywhere near a threat compared to the WRX. I believe Maxxuss car is modified. Not saying you might not have a point, but I don't see how stock versus stock that an RSX Type S is gonna beat a WRX. Also you should consider the fact that Maxxuss isn't around a sea level area, and his car being turbocharged kinda helps.
Once again, not looking to argue with you.

Regardless if it was not a type-s i would admit it, but thats what the badge said. So if your not happy with my story than just dis-regard it because its not going to change.

i beat a vtec escort badly... i can assume it was vtec b/c it had a sticker on the back
all i'm going to say is that he was playing with you. a "built" type S could have pulled on you and then let off slowly. you might want to check the RSX forums and cross reference your story. I don't underestimate your car, but the newer awd turbo cars all fall on their faces at those speeds.
not calling BS or nothing, but the story sounds more like a ricer flyby than a win

okay so you are telling me that when you pull up next to someone and they say do you wanna run? and you say yea, and you have over 1 mile of space to run clearly you would let someone do a ricer flyby, thats bullshit. As far as the badge, the car was kitted, and it was quick, maybe it wasn't a type-s, maybe it was only badged, why are you so intent on making it look like I am fabricating a story? Ricer flyby my ass.

I have yet to see a Type-S beat a WRX from a dig. But i've seen first hand, on more than one occasion, a stock Type-S walk a stock WRX from a roll. The Type-S starting pulling away slowly at around 80 with the WRX never being able to snag ground back. Now if he raced a built Type-S and he's stock, then the story becomes questionable.
But to MaXXus' credit, anything can happen on the streets.

I agree with you that the new si is over hyped......but anyone that even puts the civic si with those cars in the same sentence should be given a rick james.....
