austin area

hey whats going on im from the austin area and i just found this site.....i was just curious if anybody was in or around austin texas area...if so i was wandering if you know of any upcoming events for the ricer style cars anything from cruises to car shows......if you could give me some info about that would be a big help since im to austin and dont know where any hangouts are ...........

what do you mean i have to find that out on my own.....lmao.....i asked if anybody knows of events going on.....such as weekly gatherings..... i dont think thats such a big deal to ask that...im not asking for any details on illegal activities such as racing if you would of read the forum correctly i said for crusies or car shows!!!!! wow looks like you didnt take the time to relize what i asked about.... its something that several hundreds of people probly know about... so plz dont post anything ifs not helpful to my thread....im not trying to start any shit...but personaly thats your opinion and if somebody would like to inform me on carshows in the area...then they can but i dont need any smart ass remarks like that made to this post...

Calm down man. He said it because frequently a new user will come on and ask for local street racing scenes, and we do not permit that. That is something that you do in fact have to find out on your own, or via Private Messaging. Since it is only car shows you are asking about, I'll allow it. But it really shouldn't be too difficult to find out on your own either. Just check the local event centers and race tracks, their websites usually list all the events for the next few months.

There are meets all over the area, they're not too hard to find, just ask some local friends and drive around, its not like they're a big secret about where they hang out.

Not too long ago driving down I-35 I saw two meets off the highway. One of which had a imported honda integra type R DC2, pretty clean car.

EDIT : Just to make it clear, these were meets to showcase your car, not to try and start up races.

I would not know. Heh, this kind of reminds me of the person that was just recently banned for posting threads asking about where hangouts and what not are in Austin. But I would just suggest you use an intenet search and find out. Probably the easiest way.

Yeah I remember that guy, he went off and got banned, thats why I didn't give specific locations, I'm pretty sure it's the same guy, drove a Maxima like myself.

yea that was me..........but last time some of thoose people pissed me off....but yea like i wasent getting all worked up about it but the only place i know of is at the albertsons in oakhill at the y.........but its just a bunch of old guys with muscle cars and i asked then guys if they knew where the imports meet up and they said an autoparts store out near 183........i dont think im allowed to put locations like yall said or w.e. but thats really not a big deal since ive never seen anybody out there on fri or sats like they said...and we dont have a track in austin at least i dont believe but im not positive.....but like i dont have any friends into racing out where i live except my cousin but he just rides with me cuzz he has a slow car.......but ive asked a few people that ive raced if they race and where but they usally say i dont or dont know where...they probly lieing cuzz im sure there not just gonna go out and tell me......................also kinda off they subject what be a good walkie talkie thing i could buy so when im out driving i get scan channels and see if i can get anything that might help me find out where they are at the moment and one that its not to expensive.................lmao dam ive written so much....umm also i know of a mustang site for austin but i was wandering if there was an import site like theres.............

mad maxima you said you drive one yourself is it modified or is it stock..........cuzz ifs it modified thats awsome never meet anyone with a mod maxima before.
