When I'm taking the engine out of my 92 eclipse, can I unbult the flywheel from the pressure plate, and leave both of them just hang on the shaft while I remove the engine, or do I have to remove them both with the engine while they are attached? Thanks

umm...why would you need to take off the tranney to pull the engine...ive pulled several awd and fwd..and never had to take off the tranney...just remove the xfer case and drive shaft...and cvjoints

I'm not taking off the tranny thats why I asked about removing the engine from it. Theres very little clearance to pull out the engine, I was curious to see how the flywheel which is bolted to the engine if I;m correct, comes out with it.

Fly wheel is inside the tranny, on the engine side. If you wanted to remove the fly wheel you would have to take the tranny off. Just pull the sucker out with the tranny attached. There isn't very much room but you just have to fenangle it out of there.
