I got an '89 PickUp and I am trying to find someone that makes Cold Air Induction. No one I know makes it. Any help is appreciated.

dave, it sounds like you could just design it in your head and then just take your idea to anyone who can weld and they could just cut into your hood and install you a cold air box with a scoop and then rig you a flex hose of some kind to go to your carb or throttle body! which ever you got! i think with cold air induction you by-pass using a filter element cuz the friction from the air passing through the filter would defeat the whole purpose and i guess you'd need some kind of thermostatically controlled flap that would allow your engine to get exhaust manifold heated air till it at least warms up and then switches you over to cold box air! you'd have to be carefull driving through dust in the cold air mode without a filter! it'd probably be best for you to try this with a hood from a junk yard so if this venture fails you'll still have your good hood! good luck!

just remove your air filter and find a way to replace it with a cone filter(like the ones used on the ICEMAN cold air intakes)they also sell the mounting hardware, all you need to do is find out how to mount it to the end of your flex hose and ethier run it to the ground or like said by eduardo run it out the hood<hope it helps, even tho this post is a year from yours>
