Fair trade

Ok my managers son tonight told me he ordered another Pioneer AVIC N1 touch screen headunit thing. He wants my amp and offered to trade the touch screen for my Power Acoustik amp. The thing is the touch screen comes with no brain. He said it should still be able to play cds and dvds. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so is this a beneficial trade on my behalf. My gf wants me to get it because she will be able to watch movies. And if I get the touch screen I might be upgrading the amp to a Hifonics Brutus. Which the Brutus I will be paying about 100 or so for and then I have to send it in to be repaired. Which the owner said will cost about 120 or so. And if I got the brutus if I ran my Cerwin Vega! on it I would be able to push either 450 or 900 watts. My CV is rated 600 rms...would I be safe to run at 900 or should I just run it at 450? Yes I know a long post and everything but I don't wanna get screwed or f'ed in the a.

Unless that power acoustik amp is brand new and the top of the line then I'd say jump on the trade. The brain for the N1 is what would control like the gps and navigation and stuff but without that it will still play cd's and dvd's fine and then in the future you can get the gps and nav unit for it. As for the Brutus amp which model is it and which model vega's do you have?

I'm not sure on the brutus model. The person told me it can push 1500 rms. But then again...don't most all of them? Its a Cerwin Vega! Xmax 12.4. (dual voice coils 4 ohm each). My Power Acoustik amp is the TS1920-2. I've been told it wasn't the greatest thing out there.I payed 170 for it and in my thinking. I am basically paying 170 for a touch screen dvd player. I've heard that I can make the touch screen play it will just be hard to do...meaning what...I am asking at AVIC411.com about everything. Hopefully between here and there something will be figured out.
